The Duluth News Tribune said it best - "This truck, the shape and color of a cut of sharp cheddar, takes the comfort food classic and swaps out Wonder Bread in favor of a homemade loaf. Kevin White, who owns the truck with his partner Breanna Emond, estimates that he makes 40-50 loaves of Italian bread per week.

The menu changes occasionally, and sandwiches range from traditional-ish (four cheese grilled cheese), to traditional-ish with protein, (buffalo chicken grilled cheese), to the ultimate in nuevo grilled cheese flavors (spinach artichoke)."

Adam Moe is a fiddler and singer/songwriter based in Duluth, MN. In 2012, he started the folky-tonk duo Pushing Chain with then partner Boyd Blomberg. For the next eight years, Pushing Chain toured the US and Canada, playing venues big and small and gaining fans the old-fashioned way — face to face, one at a time. Adam has been featured on radio and television, and played some of the biggest festivals in the country, including the 2019 Woody Guthrie Festival and the 2019 Kerrville Folk Festival. With the onset of the 2020 pandemic, Adam has set out on a solo career. His unique original songs backed by his tenor guitar and delivered with his clear, bluesy tenor make for a great show. Adam believes that good music can make strangers share a table, and he proves it every time he plays. He’s nothing if not entertaining.

Tres Osos Bluegrass or “Three Bears” plays bluegrass, country, and folk. Guitar, mandolin, banjo, and bass duites are shared by Nicholas Klee (Two Many Banjos & Borderstone) Ian Kvale, (Black River Revue) and Tim Leutgeb (Black River Revue) with Colin Mullen & John Lamar. They will be joined by Bent Paddle employees who are courageous enough to play some tunes!

The Foxgloves are an all-female Americana band from the Twin Cities. Their high energy performances, heartfelt storytelling, four-part harmonies, and unique instrumentation have swept them onto big stages throughout the region including First Avenue, Big Top Chautauqua, and the Blue Ox Music Festival as the winners of the 2021 Virtual Band Competition. Baharat is a band united by their desire to instill a unique flavor of music into their hometown of Duluth, Minnesota. The band uses their music to deliver heartfelt messages about cultural identity by utilizing compelling and nuanced compositions powered by a driving rhythm section.

Starting out as the backing band of singer/songwriter Lyla Abukhodair, Baharat soon became a more collaborative project as each member started to contribute more to the writing process. Once the songs were no longer exclusively composed by Abukhodair, she and the band felt it necessary to rebrand as more than just her backing band.

The band consists of the aforementioned lead singer Lyla Abukhodair, childhood friend/Bass player Jackson Engstrom, Rob Runnels on drums, and Marshall Dillon/Emanuel Eisele on lead and rhythm guitar, respectively.

This diverse cast of members allows for an equal amount of influences to be present in Baharat’s music. The band has roots in punk, folk, and midwest emo music.
