The Duluth News Tribune said it best - "This truck, the shape and color of a cut of sharp cheddar, takes the comfort food classic and swaps out Wonder Bread in favor of a homemade loaf. Kevin White, who owns the truck with his partner Breanna Emond, estimates that he makes 40-50 loaves of Italian bread per week.

The menu changes occasionally, and sandwiches range from traditional-ish (four cheese grilled cheese), to traditional-ish with protein, (buffalo chicken grilled cheese), to the ultimate in nuevo grilled cheese flavors (spinach artichoke)."

The Spine Stealers make spooky folk inspired
by dark lakes, brain-burned nostalgia and a
melancholic hue. The band grew from the duo
of Kate Ruland and Emma O’Shea, who learned
guitar together during the height of the
pandemic.
Their first year in 2023 they opened for Dead
Horses at the Majestic Theater Folk Fest in
Madison, WI, won the Blue Ox Music Festival
Virtual Band Competition and played the
festival that June. They released their first
EP, River Teeth Tapes, in July of 2023.
In 2024, they hit the highways, concretizing
their place in the folk scene of the Midwest.
The duo were featured on the lineups of
Madison, WI Waterfront Festival and Atwood
Fest, Rhinelander, WI Project North Music
Festival, Grand Rapid, MN Festival Rialto.
They played the Lounge at Stoughton Opera
house for Haley Heyndrickx, and opened for
Arcadian Wild at Stoughton Opera House. They
released their debut album, If the Sky Falls,
Beyond the Sidewalks, in October of 2024. The
band was featured on Gems on VHS playlist in
October.
This year the band began with opening Basia
Bulat at the Majestic Theater in Madison, WI
as well as their first tour to Nashville, TN
in April. The band is working in the studio
recording their second EP and several
features coming out this year. They will be
traveling outside of the Midwest, eager to
take on their first national tour with Ross
Thorn in August taking them out to the
Pacific Northwest and rugged Western United
States.

With a pastoral upbringing in northern Wisconsin, Ross Thorn’s music emanates as a warm and soulful hymn, waking up optimistically beside a snow-covered window. His sharply crafted and often humorous lyrics—distinctly reminiscent of great folk artists like John Prine—reveal internal struggles of empathy, questions of human character and virtue, and a search for hope, often finding solace in some unanticipated truth. His second album, Fitting In, is set to release in August of 2025. The album showcases fine-tuned songwriting through traditional and contemporary folk tunes that explore the humorous and somber sides of the human condition.

For over two decades, Maryland-born musician George Ellsworth has been a staple of the Northern Minnesota music scene wearing many hats and spreading his experiences and influences far and wide. As an in-demand bassist and keyboardist he’s performed and recorded with a myriad of beloved Twin Ports acts, from James And Younger to The Brushstrokes to Todd Eckart to Snöbarn to Woodblind. As a songwriter and composer he’s contributed songs and scores to two independent films and works for local theater. He revels in finding the common and complementary elements of disparate genres and musical disciplines and building something unique and interesting from what lies at the meeting point.

Inga Entheos is a Duluth based band sharing original music with a mix of belty vocals, classical guitar, and a driving, grooving rhythm section. “Entheos” is a Greek term for “divinely inspired to create.” With this intention, the lyrics and ambience of the music create a complex sound and thought process aiming to highlight unity and self expression.
Front woman, Inga Weis, has crafted the current repertoire over the last four years. With a Nordic inspired blend of rock and folk, Inga Entheos seeks to steward a fun-loving and heart-felt musical landscape that is open to all ages. Their aim is to uplift with a cathartic musical language that will encourage connection and creativity.

Help Us Bring Pollinator Gardens to Schools

With your support, we’ll keep expanding pollinator habitat and pollinator education in Minnesota – one schoolyard at a time. Gather with us at our 4th annual fundraising event at Bent Paddle Brewery’s Enger & Olson Room in Duluth. A big thank you to Bent Paddle for donating the space for our event!

Optional tickets are $20 and include a $15 donation to the Melinda Vaughn School Pollinator Fund as well as a beverage (beer, non-alcoholic beer, kombucha, or soda available). Light snacks will be served. Kids are welcome! Come play pollinator trivia, see great art by Minnesota artists, and get pollinator gardening inspiration!

If you’re wanting a late lunch or early dinner, the Bowlz N’ Thangz food truck will also be at the brewery.

A virtual silent auction is part of our fundraiser and bidding will conclude at 5 p.m. the evening of the event. If you're attending the in-person event, you can scan a QR code that will take you directly to our online auction!

All proceeds from the fundraiser and silent auction will be directed to our school pollinator garden grants program. Our grant recipient for the 2025-2026 school year is Cloquet Middle and High School.

If you aren’t able to attend the event or want to offer even more support, please consider making a donation to the Melinda Vaughn Pollinator Fund.

Kevin White, who owns the truck with his partner Breanna Emond, estimates that he makes 40-50 loaves of Italian bread per week.

Bonfire Music Group recording artists the Roe Family Singers are a Hard-Core Old-Time band from Minneapolis, MN. Led by wife & husband Kim and Quillan Roe, the band marries old-time sounds from barn-dances, fiddle pulls, and county fairs with a punk rock delivery.

Featuring banjo, Autoharp, guitar, and Appalachian clogging, the band and family of fans have been regularly filling Minneapolis’ 331 Club every Monday night since 2005. They've shared the stage with Doc Watson, Ralph Stanley, Mike Seeger, Del McCoury, Jesse McReynolds, the Grascals, Jim Kweskin & Geoff Muldaur, Junior Brown, Asleep at the Wheel, and John McEuen & John Carter Cash. In 2011 the band was awarded the prestigious McKnight Fellowship for Performing Musicians; they won the title of “World's Best Jug Band” twice, in 2010 & 2012 at the annual Battle of the Jug Bands; in 2012, won the Minnesota Duet Contest at the MN State Fair; in 2016 won the title of Entertainers of the Year from BMAI; in 2017, Kim won the clogging competition at the Old-Time Music & Ozark Heritage Festival, held in West Plains, MO; in 2018, won both Entertainers of the Year and Album of the Year from BMAI;in 2019, won Best Band, Best Band Overall, and Entertainers of the Year from BMAI; and in 2020 their song, “Don’t Worry About the Rich Man,” was #10 overall on the Bluegrass Grassicana charts.

The Roe Family Singers mix original music and contemporary takes on old-time and traditional tunes into one roiling & rollicking river of fresh yet familiar American music. Every performance raises a ruckus.
