Americana duo Dance Attic can charm the boots off even the most grizzly honky-tonker in town. Dressed in cowboy hats and colorful western wear, speed burning guitarist, Jimi Cooper and Accordion whiz, Suzi Ludwig, sing, smile, dance, and kazoo their way into the hearts and feet of their audience.
The pair perform a wide variety of music from clever rock covers of bands like the Cars and Blondie to the “(You name it) Polka.” Dance Attic has two albums of original music, a Christmas EP and a children’s book based on their song “Livin’ with a Bear”under its big, silver belt buckle.

The most recent alum “Livin’ for Today” was released in 2020 and features the songs “My Little Pink Wazoo”, and “We’re Gettin’ Saucy Tonight."

The Gemstones: Duluth's funktastic soul/rock band hitting you hard in the groove bone - the kind of band your mom wishes she grew up listening to. Whether it be Courtney Ellian’s smooth and sultry vocals or keys playing, Manny Eisele loving the low-end on bass/vocals, Josh Nickila’s vintage sound on guitar/vocals, or Ian Hopp's “madman on funkahol" drumming/vocals; this is a powerhouse of soundscapes and all-around funk/rock sex-suasion - musically.

The Thomas Woytko Collective is a an upbeat horn group rooted in jazz led by trombonist and arranger Thomas Woytko. The group began with the horn section posting covers online and then eventually flourished to the full ensemble. The group is inspired and replicates bands like The Huntertones, Couch, Lawrence, and Snarky Puppy. Come check out the band that made it out of group chat at Bent Paddle, Dec. 6th!

Entheos Enclave is a Duluth based original band fronted by Inga Weis. This Nordic fusion of indie/crossover prog and world music comes from both deep love and deep grief, while moving towards healing. After releasing three singles over the last couple months, their debut album “Eschaton” will be available to the public November 21st. The lyrics and melodies draw up inspiration from below the surface: emotion, spirituality, and the school of life. Duluth’s own Tres Osos (Nicholas Klee, Ian Kvale, and Tim Leutgeb) bring a hearty blend of traditional bluegrass and classic country, shaped by their love of cold lakes, good food, and the great outdoors. Their sound is warm, sincere, and right at home in December.

Barefoot Bluegrass—Harrison Olk, Jon Miller, Nate Hynum, and Joe Sheehan, pushes the boundaries of bluegrass with jam-inspired improvisation and a deep respect for the tradition. Expect grit, groove, and the kind of spontaneous energy that keeps every show fresh.
