The Trinkets are an indie pop rock band from Duluth founded by Elsie Zimmerman (vocals/guitar) and April Dressel (drums). They're inspired by the music of their parents' generation like Green Day, Weezer, Nirvana, and Radiohead, but they are also students of modern artists such as Chapelle Roan, Billie Eilish, and Clairo. Although they are a new band, they've played a fair share of shows around town, including Spirit of the Times and Gag Me With a Spoon.

Their debut EP "Split" is complete and out on bandcamp, SoundCloud, YouTube, and other streaming platforms.

Take a break from the trail, the hunt, or the hearth and come hang with us for a night of wild food, good beer, and some seriously good eating.
We’re welcoming Hank Shaw, acclaimed wild-food writer, hunter, angler, forager and author of Buck, Buck, Moose, for a book signing and meet & greet celebrating the release of the 10th Anniversary Edition.

And because talking about venison is always better when you’re actually eating it, John Barnstorf of Johnny B’s will be serving up some special SMASH venison burgers.
It’s a pretty rare chance to experience the full circle of wild food: the hunt, the knowledge, the cooking and, ultimately, sitting down and enjoying the hell out of it.
Hank’s new Buck, Buck, Moose is a completely revised and expanded edition, packed with more than 30 new recipes, nearly 200 photos, updated techniques, butchering and processing guidance, charcuterie and sausage-making, and plenty of new ways to put that freezer full of venison to work.
Whether you hunt every fall, are just getting into wild game, or simply want to eat a really good wild burger and have a beer with some interesting people, come join us.

D&D Social Hour, Duluth
Meet your people. No game, no agenda — just good drinks and a table full of D&D fans.
Time & Location
1:00 PM – 3:00 PM
About the Event
Come for the drinks. Stay for the friends.
Pull up a chair at Bent Paddle and meet your people. Dragons, Dungeons & Drinks social hours are casual, no-pressure evenings for D&D players, curious newcomers, and anyone who's ever wanted to roll dice with strangers and somehow leave with friends.

What's happening this month:
Try an Encounter — Take our curated character sheets for a spin with our encounter of the month! Grab a few folks, pick a character sheet, and start rolling!
Bring Your Stuff — Got a character sheet you've been working on? A rulebook you have questions about? Bring it along. There's always someone at the table who wants to look at your build or nerd out over lore.
Bring Your Games — Got a deck, a box, or a game that needs more players? Throw it in your bag. The tables are yours.
Just Hang — Sometimes the best thing is a good conversation with someone who also knows what a nat 20 feels like. Grab a drink, find a seat, introduce yourself.

DD&D social hours are free to attend - simply select the "Just Showing Up" ticket at the bottom.
What makes this possible is this community. If you've found your people here and want to help us keep it going — supplies, printing costs, future programming, and keeping the doors open to everyone — our sponsorship tiers make that happen. Every gold piece goes directly back into the table.
Thank you for being part of this.

From Spencer is a project that started with original songs from Kara Warren (vocals/guitar) and takes full form with drummer Neil Vaidyanathan, bassist/vocalist Ned Netzel, and lead guitarist Marshall Dillon. The band’s original music comes begrudgingly from depths of the heart, blending indie, folk, and emo genres into midwest bootgaze. Get your shit-kickers out, whatever they may be, because we’re getting to work, crawling through the dirt, opening old wounds, while smiling through it all. 🙂

Hot Tamale Cosmos is a group of artists from the Northland who have all had their own projects and successes and have come together over common love of song and harmonies. These women have performed in such groups as, and not limited to: Superior Siren, Danny Frank and the Smoky Gold, Boss Mama and the Jebberhooch, Ross Thorn Band, Junkyard Mule, Feeding Leroy and the Morris Park Singers. The women-led supergroup will be sharing original tunes as well as covers by artists such as Iris Dement, Bob Dylan and Gillian Welch. The Cosmos are Erin Aldridge, Colleen "Boss Mama" Myhre, Jocelyn Mickelsen, Jen Krussow and Sonja Martin.

Their rhythms may be a little bossy. Their drummers commanded me to feel Saucy. Another Duluth band that can hold a groove. The Bass lines funk and the bootys move. Some songs tell stories and others tell moods. They sing about friends and they sing about foods. With Improvisations both jarring and dreamy, one guitar clucks and the other ones creamy. Looking for a band to follow outta the fog? Well look no further than Saltydog.

Duluth-based northwoods funk jam band Saltydog consists of Jacob Mahon on guitar and vocals, drummer Owen “Owie”Mahon (who also does vocals), Sam Deters on guitar, Bryon “Lefty” Johnson on percussion, Calvin “Calzone” Lund on the Bass and Gavin St. Clair on the keys.
