The Duluth News Tribune said it best - "This truck, the shape and color of a cut of sharp cheddar, takes the comfort food classic and swaps out Wonder Bread in favor of a homemade loaf. Kevin White, who owns the truck with his partner Breanna Emond, estimates that he makes 40-50 loaves of Italian bread per week.

The menu changes occasionally, and sandwiches range from traditional-ish (four cheese grilled cheese), to traditional-ish with protein, (buffalo chicken grilled cheese), to the ultimate in nuevo grilled cheese flavors (spinach artichoke)."

The Thomas Woytko Collective is a an upbeat horn group rooted in jazz led by trombonist and arranger Thomas Woytko. The group began with the horn section posting covers online and then eventually flourished to the full ensemble. The group is inspired and replicates bands like The Huntertones, Couch, Lawrence, and Snarky Puppy.

Big Wave Dave and the Ripples is an 8 piece funk and soul band with a full horn section that began by bringing the funk to Duluth every week for over two years on Thursday nights at the Rex. Since then the band has moved on from a weekly engagement and has played a variety of other events such as Duluth Homegrown Music Festival, Fourth Fest at Bayfront Park, All Pints North Brew Fest, a UMD's Homecoming Halftime Show, as a featured performer with the Duluth Superior Symphony Orchestra and a variety of local Duluth area festivals, clubs, and events. The band plays a mix of their favorite soul and funk tunes from other artists and original material. "You may be wondering, "who put these theater kids in a clown band?", and quite frankly, we've been wondering the same thing."
Joy and Melancholy is an alternative band from Duluth MN, known for their strange takes on the human experience. JaM is influenced by varied artists from 2000s pop punk to 90s grunge to modern pop and indie. They're a healthy mix of anger, sadness, and irony you do not want to miss.
Currently consisting of Anna Joy (vocals and whatnot), Lacey Osterlund (vocals), Nick Larsen (bass),and Eli Stanley (drums), Joy and Melancholy is an energetic set that you will not want to miss.

Crimson Soul is a 3 piece grunge band from Duluth, MN. The members consist of Willow Sowada on guitar and vocals, Logan Raczka on bass guitar, and Jordan Schmidt on drums. The group’s first song, “Blind” released in February of 2026 on all streaming platforms and the band is currently recording their first album.

The Duluth News Tribune said it best - "This truck, the shape and color of a cut of sharp cheddar, takes the comfort food classic and swaps out Wonder Bread in favor of a homemade loaf. Kevin White, who owns the truck with his partner Breanna Emond, estimates that he makes 40-50 loaves of Italian bread per week.

The menu changes occasionally, and sandwiches range from traditional-ish (four cheese grilled cheese), to traditional-ish with protein, (buffalo chicken grilled cheese), to the ultimate in nuevo grilled cheese flavors (spinach artichoke)."

Superior Siren is an eerie folk project created by singer-songwriter Laura Sellner. The music offers an alluring expression of vulnerability and desire, with inspiration from Lake Superior and Siren mythology. When Sellner joined forces with cellist Rachel Gobin, bassist Nyssa Krause, and drummer Emma Deaner a sisterhood of sirens was formed. For the past nine years they crafted a mesmerizing blend of vocals, strings, and percussion. The band recently welcomed violinist and Duluth Superior Symphony Orchestra concertmaster Erin Aldridge, creating an all the more captivating sound and performance. Superior Siren is not for the faint of heart, and will enchant those who dare to listen.

Makwawigwamikwe Marlena Boedigheimer was born and raised in Duluth, Minnesota and is a member of the Red Cliff Band of Lake Superior Chippewa. She began playing the tenor saxophone at age 14, inspired after hearing the instrument sampled on Pete Rock and CL Smooth’s “T.R.O.Y”.

Marlena is primarily focused on making music that embodies concepts of Indigenous Futurism through what many would recognize as “free jazz”. Her projects center around the use of the Ojibwe language, Anishinaabemowin, as well as stories from her relatives and ancestors, aiming to raise awareness of the history of her people and the contemporary Ojibwe world. She has performed and recorded with Mato Wayuhi, The Tewa, and other contemporary Indigenous artists across a variety of genres.

As the full Pink Marlena trio, she’s joined by Emanuel Eisele & Ian Hopp.

Lee Clark Allen is an independent multi-genre, singer-songwriter, instrumentalist, and producer whose music bridges the timeless warmth of classic soul with the contemporary edge of modern/Alternative R&B. His sound blends jazz, blues, rock, funk, gospel, pop, and hip-hop to create something both fresh and familiar. He has been likened to Frank Ocean, Daniel Caesar, Moses Sumney, Anderson .Paak, Marvin Gaye, and others by music professionals and literary critics. Fronted by vocalists Jenna Harting and Lisa Wentworth, Mid Dream cranks out upbeat pop-punky anthems, soul searching ballads, and some things decidedly neither. With Rachel Riefenberg on drums, Matt Prois on bass, Alex Nelson on keys, and Bryan Wentworth toeing the line between lead guitar and synthscape, their tunes are filled with compelling textures and powerful harmonies.

In early 2024, songwriters Jenna, Rachel, Bryan, and Lisa (who also picks up rhythm guitar) started jamming in the Wentworth family basement. In the summer, Alex answered a cryptic invitation and joined them. Matt wasn’t far behind.
