The Duluth News Tribune said it best - "This truck, the shape and color of a cut of sharp cheddar, takes the comfort food classic and swaps out Wonder Bread in favor of a homemade loaf. Kevin White, who owns the truck with his partner Breanna Emond, estimates that he makes 40-50 loaves of Italian bread per week.

The menu changes occasionally, and sandwiches range from traditional-ish (four cheese grilled cheese), to traditional-ish with protein, (buffalo chicken grilled cheese), to the ultimate in nuevo grilled cheese flavors (spinach artichoke)."

Now in its second decade of existence, this ensemble pays homage to the music culture of Trinidad & Tobago. It is open to any student at the College regardless of major or experience. The Driftless Revelers formed in the second spring of the first global pandemic of the 21st century, with one ear turned toward the shellac platters and Victrola virtuosos of the early to mid 20th century, and the other ear glued to the soundscapes of the 1960's & 1970's American freak-folk scene.
Since their debut tour in 2021, the band has billed with Grammy winning bluegrass legends like Tim O'Brien & the Gibson Brothers, toured extensively throughout the Upper Midwest performing with other amazing artists like Big Richard, Willy Tea Taylor, Davey Allen & the Midnights, and had breakout performances at several festivals and events (Sol Grass Music Festival, Mile of Music in Appleton, WI. featured in Rolling Stone Magazine).

These Eau Claire, Wisconsin based weirdos have earned a cult following of devoted fans from Minnesota to Michigan who appreciate their irreverent, highly original, and sometimes slightly psychedelic interpretation of American roots music with a Midwest twist. Their live show banter and thoroughly entertaining sets have earned them comparisons to Ween, Dr. Hook & the Medicine Show, They Might be Giants, Tenacious D, Cheech & Chong, and the Holy Modal Rounders. Their debut record, American Fork Standards (2022), was well received by their family members, and a few other people who said nice things about it. Their most recent record, Live at the Slowpoke Lounge & Cabaret (2024) captures the band's deadpan comedy and musical chops in a lounge environment that demands a proper listen in a leisure suit with a scotch & Pall Mall.

Soulhead is a Twin Ports based group that captures the energetic element of music from the past decades while also creating new boundaries with their own taste on the classics! Their style is a unique blend of the many genres ranging from blues, rock, funk, and soul. Their ability to apply energy, as well as improvised jams on songs makes every show unique while also staying grounded to the roots. Their chemistry on stage allows them to connect to the audience in such a distinctive way by applying their musical influences from many genres to their sound!

The People Brothers Band’s unique brand of rhythm and soul features some of the most talented vocalists and musicians in the region. The vibrant group of longtime friends, collaborators, and multi-dimensional artists formed in 2008 as an open mic songwriting outfit and hasn’t looked back since. The band has cultivated a captivating musical alchemy through collective dedication to their craft, the Midwest music community, and each other.

Drawing from the band's musically diverse influences, you’ll hear everything from The Tedeschi Trucks Band, Grateful Dead, Phish and Whitney Houston, to Gregg Allman & The Band in their original music. Coupled with a Tina Turneresque-esk stage presence, the ensemble displays genre-bending versatility and mesmerizing synchronicity during their energetic live shows. Their lyrics transport listeners through the full spectrum of emotions and the crowd mirrors an ever-changing portrait of expression; bright smiles, animated stomping, choral shouting, and wiping away a rolling tear before anyone sees. Their infectious stage presence is punctuated with heartfelt words of encouragement from lead vocalist, Teresa Marie, who emphasizes their overarching message of love and positivity.

The band that surrounds her, frames her message, like a psychedelic kaleidoscope painting full of color, straight out of the 70’s. The rotating cast of this 8-piece rock band has been on the road for 15 years, their songs rival the stories of their predecessors like Fleetwood Mac with stories of love, loss, passion, divorce, death, sobriety, sex, drugs, and rock n roll. Being the city that's forged some of the biggest names in music, Duluth is also home to Jumpsuit - a funk/jam outfit with a big side bowl of soul. On the rise, these funky folks are a culmination of individuals who have shared the stage with many of those names and more. Jumpsuit features Emanuel Eisele and Marshall Dillon on guitars, Calzone on bass, Ian Hopp on drums, Courtney Ellian on keys/backup vocals, and Erica “Ricky” Francois and Madi Phyle on lead vocals.

Dessa fell in love with language as a toddler---and she just never got over it. Coming up in Minneapolis, she collected favorite words to decorate the walls of her brain; as teenager, she thrilled in metaphor; and when she started writing songs and touring, she'd always lean in to pick up on the regional slang. Now, Dessa works in most fields that traffic in words: she's recorded rap bangers as part of the fiercely independent Doomtree collective, released a live album with the Grammy-winning Minnesota Orchestra; contributed to the New York Times and National Geographic Traveler; delivered a TED Talk on the intersection of romance and neuroscience that's notched more than 4 million views; hosted two seasons of the Deeply Human radio program (BBC/American Public Media/iHeartMedia); and published a memoir recounting most of the above called My Own Devices, published by Dutton (Penguin Random House). She lives in Minneapolis and Manhattan, still tours in a rented van, and is probably eavesdropping on the neighboring table, listening for a word to add to the collection. Hot Tamale Cosmos is a group of artists from the Northland who have all had their own projects and successes and have come together over common love of song and harmonies. These women have performed in such groups as, and not limited to: Danny Frank and the Smoky Gold, Boss Mama and the Jebberhooch, Ross Thorn Band, Junkyard Mule, Feeding Leroy and the Morris Park Singers. They are a new project and will be sharing original tunes as well as covers by artists such as Iris Dement, Bob Dylan and Gillian Welch. Inga Entheos is a Duluth based band sharing original music with a mix of belty vocals, classical guitar, and a driving, grooving rhythm section. “Entheos” is a Greek term for “divinely inspired to create.” With this intention, the lyrics and ambience of the music create a complex sound and thought process aiming to highlight unity and self expression.
Front woman, Inga Weis, has crafted the current repertoire over the last four years. With a Nordic inspired blend of rock and folk, Inga Entheos seeks to steward a fun-loving and heart-felt musical landscape that is open to all ages. Their aim is to uplift with a cathartic musical language that will encourage connection and creativity.

The menu changes occasionally, and sandwiches range from traditional-ish (four cheese grilled cheese), to traditional-ish with protein, (buffalo chicken grilled cheese), to the ultimate in nuevo grilled cheese flavors (spinach artichoke)."

Mixing up an unlikely concoction of vintage rock & roll and outlaw country, Cole Diamond is, depending on when you ask, either the stage name for singer/songwriter Ryan Otte or the collective handle for Otte and his Band. For years Otte spent most weekends behind a drum kit playing with too many bands to list. The idea for Cole Diamond came about as a way for Otte to step out from behind the drums and try his hand at the front of the stage. In the years since “Cole Diamond” was conceived he has released two EPS, a string of singles, received airplay on 89.3 The Current, and opened for national acts such as Jenny Don't & The Spurs, Corb Lund and The Wilder Blue.
