Venture Pils is the Brewer’s Beer here at Bent Paddle. It is the quintessential representation of beer brewed with the pristine waters of Lake Superior. Venture Pils uses no water chemistry adjustments – just pure Lake Superior Water which highlights what can be done with this incredible resource. Weyermann Pilsener Malt from Germany is the base malt used in this beer. A cracker-esque malt characteristic that resonates through is balanced out by the snappiness of European Noble hops and a clean lager yeast profile from the Augustiner Lager strain. A touch of a floral hop flavor and aroma makes this brilliantly clear lager refreshing all year round.

Cold Press Black Ale gives the drinker all of the pleasantries of our Black Ale mixed with our house made Cold Press utilizing beans from Duluth Coffee Company. We’ve moved to a single source farm in Colombia where the beans are grown and then sent up to Duluth Coffee Company to be roasted. Once roasted, we make our cold press in house and infuse into our Black Ale post centrifuge at a rate of 1 gallon per barrel. Expect the rich chocolate and roast characteristics to blend nicely with the Cold Press infusion, bringing the coffee notes to the forefront of your pallet with a pleasantly smooth finish.

Bent Paddle Black Ale is a combination between a Stout and a Porter as it has characteristics that seamlessly blends it between the two style. This robust dark ale brings its complex malt to the forefront with a mixture of dark roasted malts and crystal malts. Expect rich notes of chocolate, roast, and a slight caramel character to come through as this malt forward ale utilizes our house American Ale Yeast to finish clean with a soft, mouth-coating finish.

14 Degree Amber is Bent Paddle’s most award-winning beer. With a respectable Bronze, Silver, and Gold medal at the Great American Beer Festival, this brand is truly a unique beer that pays homage to the traditions of its style, all while bending tradition to a more modern craft beer drinker. Utilizing Pale malt and a variety of European character malts this beer has complex malt driven flavors and a deep amber color. Expect notes of biscuit, toast, caramel, and slight notes of prune.
