BREWER'S NOTES
Venture Pils is the Brewer’s Beer here at Bent Paddle. It is the quintessential representation of beer brewed with the pristine waters of Lake Superior. Venture Pils uses no water chemistry adjustments – just pure Lake Superior Water which highlights what can be done with this incredible resource. Weyermann Pilsener Malt from Germany is the base malt used in this beer. A cracker-esque malt characteristic that resonates through is balanced out by the snappiness of European Noble hops and a clean lager yeast profile from the Ausustiner Lager strain. A touch of a floral hop flavor and aroma makes this brilliantly clear lager refreshing all year round.

14 Degree Amber is Bent Paddle’s most award-winning beer. With a respectable Bronze, Silver, and Gold medal at the Great American Beer Festival, this brand is truly a unique beer that pays homage to the traditions of its style, all while bending tradition to a more modern craft beer drinker. Utilizing Pale malt and a variety of European character malts this beer has complex malt driven flavors and a deep amber color. Expect notes of biscuit, toast, caramel, and slight notes of prune. We balance the malt complexities out with a blend of American and English Hops that give it a bright herbal, fruity, and floral hop presence.

Cold Press Black Ale gives the drinker all of the pleasantries of our Black Ale mixed with our house made Cold Press utilizing beans from Duluth Coffee Company. We’ve moved to a single source farm in Colombia where the beans are grown and then sent up to Duluth Coffee Company to be roasted. Once roasted, we make our cold press in house and infuse into our Black Ale post centrifuge at a rate of 1 gallon per barrel. Expect the rich chocolate and roast characteristics to blend nicely with the Cold Press infusion, bringing the coffee notes to the forefront of your pallet with a pleasantly smooth finish.

BREWER'S NOTES
Snowmaker Pale Ale is a recipe that was born in our Pilot Brewery from Pilot Brewer Neil Caron and has been scaled up and brewed in our Production Facility. This beer utilizes equal parts of 2-Row and Golden Promise for the base malt with Caramalt, Heritage Crystal, Carafoam, Crystal Extra Dark, and Dehusked Carafa 3 added as the specialty malts. Together, these malts give this beer its beautiful copper color. They also lend to the toast, honey, dark fruit and caramel malt flavors that are present in this beer. The hops used are primarily Simcoe and Centennial hops with a touch of Crystal hops used on the hot side. The large additions of Simcoe and Centennial lend to the overall pine, grapefruit, and cotton candy hop flavors present in this beer. We dry hopped this beer with 2.2 lbs per barrel of hops making the hop load in this beer just over 3 lbs per barrel, overall. Expect a deliciously balanced IPA with beautiful hop and malt notes. Pleasantly dry and crystal clear allow this hoppy and malty treat to be enjoyed throughout the cooler months ahead. Cheers!

Appearance: Pale Straw to Straw in color. Clear with slight haze. Aroma: Hop aromas - herbal and floral. Malt aromas - grain, cereal, and bread flour. Flavor: Hop flavors - green and herbal. Malt flavors - grain, cereal, bread flour and slight biscuit. Mouthfeel: Soft, mouth coating finish with a low to medium astringency.
BREWER'S NOTES
Classic Cream Ale is Bent Paddle’s take on a straight-forward, easy drinking beer. This well-balanced beer has a light expression of hops and malt while allowing for the yeast character to shine though. We use a Dry English Ale Yeast which brings a slightly fruity ester character to the beer. We use 2-Row malt for the base and add oats to up to 15% to bring a smooth mouthfeel to this light, crisp, and refreshing American Style Ale.

BREWER'S NOTES
Pour Notes: “With this style of pour the faucet inserted to the bottom of the glass, so please keep the faucet clean ie. Don’t touch the nozzle of the faucet before serving, spray with sanitizer end of night etc. just remember the outside of the faucet is going to touch all the beer the customer will be drinking. No fingy grease in beers plz! •First, give the mug a nice long rinse. The glass is thicker than a normal pint glass and takes more rinsing to cool down properly •Shake excess water off • at a normal beer pouring angle, bring the mug up to the faucet until the nozzle is almost touching the bottom of the glass. •Open the faucet to a 45°angle for ~3 seconds, this creates a nice thick moussy layer of foam. •After the 3 seconds, or when the faucet is well under the layer of foam, open the faucet to 90° (straight on) keep the nozzle of the faucet UNDER the foam, until the glass is full, leaving a beautiful, dense 2-2.5 finger head. •Account for a little drippage after you take the faucet out the glass. Let me know if anyone has any questions or if you want to see a pour in person. Thanks for helping me serve some fun nerdy beers :)” Pour Video: https://bentpaddlebrewing.slack.com/files/U0PAFMYA1/F04BU6J5JAZ/img_2621.mov Process Description Video: https://bentpaddlebrewing.slack.com/files/U0PAFMYA1/F04BZNB2QR2/img_2627.mov

A light amber English style ale with smooth notes of baked bread, hazelnut, marmalade, dark fruit, and subtle floral hops. Well balanced, and highly drinkable.
BREWER'S NOTES
ESB's (Extra Special Bitters) are the highest alcohol version of all traditional English pale ales, which are classified as "Bitters" in the U.K. Don't let the name fool you, as these beers are much less bitter, while being more malt driven and balanced than their American Pale Ale cousin
